All adults now eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine

The NHS is urging anyone aged 18 and over to book their first vaccination appointment without delay as the health service enters its final push to protect the country against the virus.

The NHS has delivered over 62 million Covid-19 vaccinations nationally since the programme was launched six months ago.

Four in five adults in England have now received their first dose of the jab, and three in five have already been fully vaccinated after receiving two doses.

Everyone aged 18 and over is now eligible to receive a vaccination, and those aged 39 and under and pregnant women will be offered the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine in line with updated guidance.

The NHS is also now contacting people aged 40 and over, to bring forward their second dose, with the NHS booking service now showing earlier time slots available for those who are eligible to rebook.

All adults in Liverpool can now book their appointment at a number of sites across the city at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119.

People can also book their vaccination at Aintree Hospital, which isn’t listed on the NHS booking service, via the following link: https://aintreeuniversityhospital.nhsbookings.com/v2/#book/service/7/count/1/provider/any/

Please do not contact your GP to request a vaccination appointment.
